Cold and flu season will be here before we know it. Before cold weather illnesses attack your office with a vengeance, it’s never a bad idea to revisit simple but important ways to stay healthy:

  • An Apple A Day. Eating healthy is one of the key components to warding off illness. Fresh fruits and veggies, healthy fats and proteins and foods packed with the nutrients help in our bodies’ defense against illness. It can be tempting with the holidays upon us to eat junk and comfort foods but everything in moderation is key. Instead of poking around the candy dish at reception, keep healthy snacks like fresh fruit, trail mix or jerky at your desk.
  • Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug. Drinking enough water is one of the best and easiest ways to stay healthy so take a couple extra trips to the water cooler!
  • Gesundheit! Covering your sneezes and coughs will be greatly appreciated by your co-workers.
  • Sing the birthday song. Ok, singing this song will only annoy your co-workers. But singing it in your head or counting to 30 every so often while washing your hands is one good way to remember to slow down to thoroughly wash your hands. Maintaining good hygiene is a key component to keeping you and those around you healthy.
  • Remember that coat rack aka the treadmill? As the weather grows colder it’s easy to fall into hibernation but staying active is another important part of staying healthy. So dust off that yoga mat, lace up your sneakers and get into a routine of at least little bouts of exercise a couple times a week!

Our team hopes you have a healthy and happy holiday season!
